(GREENVILLE, Pa.) – Thomas More College sophomore goalkeeper Jeff Paulin (Alexandria, Ky./Bishop Brossart) and first-year forward Olivia Nienaber (Alexandria, Ky./Bishop Brossart) earned weekly soccer honors from the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) on Monday evening.
Paulin was named the PAC Men's Soccer Goalkeeper/Defensive Player of the Week. He registered a pair of clean sheets for the Saints during a 2-1 week. Paulin turned away four shots in a 2-0 shutout at Wittenberg Tuesday and stopped five shots in a 1-0 setback at DePauw Thursday before Saturday's 1-0 shutout of Saint Vincent in the program's league opener.
Nienaber was named the PAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. She helped lead the Saints to a 2-0 record last week, including a win over Saint Vincent in their PAC opener. She led the team in scoring with six points on three goals, including the game-winner in the PAC opener.
The men's and women's soccer teams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Waynesburg, Pennsylvania for a PAC doubleheader with Waynesburg University. The women's match is at 6 p.m., followed by the men's match at 8 p.m.
