King and Traub Earn Weekly PAC Honors

(GREENVILLE, Pa.) – Thomas More College junior Damion King (Winchester, Ky./George Rogers Clark) and first-year Jimmy Traub (Cincinnati, Ohio/Sycamore) have earned weekly honors from the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) office.

King has been named the PAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the third straight week.  He helped the Saints extend their lead in the PAC standings to two games as they posted a pair of pivotal PAC victories last week. King finished the week averaging 22.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists while shooting 58.3 percent (14-of-24) from the floor and 86.7 percent (13-of-15) from the charity stripe. King scored eight points in the final 49-seconds to help Thomas More earn a come-from-behind win over Geneva Saturday. He finished with 23 points on 8-of-14 shooting and a career-best 13 rebounds in the victory, the Saints' 10th straight.

Traub was named the PAC Rookie Wrestler of the Week.  He went 4-2 last week at 157 pounds for the Saints and notched a fourth-place finish at Saturday's John Summa Memorial Tournament. Traub posted a pair of technical fall wins before earning a 6-4 sudden victory decision in the quarterfinals over Wheeling Jesuit's Christian Rivera. Traub was pinned by W&J's Hunter Neely in the semifinals before being dealt a 7-6 loss in the third-place match by Brockport's Corey Farrell.

The men's basketball team returns to action on Wednesday (February 7) when it takes on Westminster College at 8 p.m. in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania.  The wrestling team competes in the PAC Championship on Saturday (February 10) in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania.
