(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – Thomas More College junior catcher Sam Hauer (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder), senior second baseman Ben Laumann (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) and junior first baseman Sean Lawrence (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton) have been named All-Mideast Region.
Hauer and Laumann were named to the D3baseball.com All-Region Teams, while Lawrence joined the two on the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings All-Region Teams.
Hauer was named second team All-Mideast by both D3baseball.com and the ABCA. He batted .380 as he was 165-of-171 with six home runs, 14 doubles, 45 runs batted-in and 31 runs scored. Hauer had a .427 on-base percentage and a .567 slugging percentage.
Laumann was named second team All-Mideast by D3baseball.com and to the third team by ABCA. He batted .339 as he was 60-of-177 with seven home runs, four triples, 16 doubles, 36 RBI and 56 runs scored. Laumann was 17-of-19 in stolen base attempts and had a .593 slugging percentage.
Lawrence was a second team All-Mideast selection by D3baseball.com. He led the team in batting with a .399 average as he was 69-of-173 with eight home runs, four triples, 16 doubles, 44 RBI and 42 runs scored. Lawrence had a .676 slugging percentage and a .451 on-base percentage.
The Saints won their fifth PAC championship and posted their 22nd-straight winning season during the 2018 campaign, while advancing to their eighth NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.
