(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) - The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) recently released its 2013 Football Coaches Record Book and Thomas More College Head Football Coach Jim Hilvert is ranked among the winningest active coaches in all divisions of the NCAA.
Hilvert, who is entering his seventh season at Thomas More, has a 50-16 record in six years for a .758 win percentage. He ranks 24th among all Division I, II and III coaches and 15th among all Division III coaches only.
In just six seasons on the sidelines in Crestview Hills, Hilvert has earned three Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Coach of the Year honors, while coaching 38 first team All-PAC players, four All-Americans and four PAC Players of the Year. During the 2011 season, he guided the Saints to their highest ranking in school history when they received 805 votes in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Top-25 poll and were ranked No. 6 in the nation after week four. The Saints also have a 5-1 record in the Bridge Bowl against across-the-river rival, the College of Mount St. Joseph, in Hilvert's six seasons as Thomas More head coach.
The Saints open the 2013 season on September 7 when they travel to Columbus, Ohio to play Capital University at 1:30 p.m. at Bernlohr Stadium.
