Thomas More Finishes 20th at Hoinke Bearcat Classic

(CINCINNATI, Ohio) – The Thomas More College men's and women's bowling team finished 20th this weekend (Saturday and Sunday, January 9-10, 2016) at the Hoinke Bearcat Classic hosted by the University of Cincinnati at Western Bowl in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Saints had 6,651 points in the tournament as they had 3,991 during regulation games and 2,660 in Baker games.

In regulation play, Thomas More was led by freshman Zack Duke (Centerville, Ohio/Archbishop Alter) led Saints with a 150 average with a game-high 165 in game six.  Freshman Jake Giuliano (Hamilton, Ohio/Badin) had a 143 average and team-high 186 in game four.  Freshman Katie Laine (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) had a 136 average with a game-high 177 in game one, senior Katie Rankin (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) had a 125 average as she had a game-high 139 in game six and freshman Kelsey Rankin (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) had a 111 average with a game-high 137 in game two.

In Baker games, the Saints had a 133 average in the five four-game blocks.

Thomas More returns to action on January 23 and 24 when it competes at the Buckeye Baker Classic hosted by The Ohio State University at HP Lanes in Columbus, Ohio.
