Thomas More Places 20th at Muskie Mash

(ZANESVILLE, Ohio) - The Thomas More College men's and women's bowling team finished 20th on Saturday (January 23, 2016) at the Muskie Mash hosted by the Muskingum University at Sunrise Strikes in Zanesville, Ohio.

The Saints had 5,553 points in the tournament as they had 3,726 during regulation games and 1,827 in Baker games.

In regulation play, Thomas More was led by freshman Jake Giuliano (Hamilton, Ohio/Badin), who earned all-tournament honors as he placed fourth with a 192 average and had a team-high 235 in game five.  Junior Jimmy Kelley (California, Ky./Bishop Brossart) had a  159 average and had a game-high 171 in game three.  Freshman Katie Laine (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) had a 156 average with a game-high 176 in game three.  Freshman Katie Rankin (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) had a 137 average with a game-high 165 in game one and freshman Zack Duke (Centerville, Ohio/Archbishop Alter) had a 133 average with a game-high 158 in game three.  Senior Jacob Furman (Florence, Ky./Dixie Height) bowled an 80 in his lone game and freshman Kelsey Rankin (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) had a 77 in her lone game.

In Baker games, the Saints had a 152 average in the three four-game blocks.

Thomas More returns to action on February 6 when it travels to Lexington, Kentucky to compete in the Eagle Classic at the Eastland Lanes.
