Thomas More Finishes Fourth at Mountaineer Classic

(PARKERSBURG, W.Va.) – The Thomas More College men's bowling team finished fourth on Sunday (January 22, 2017) at the Mountaineer Classic in Parkersburg, West Virginia.

The Saints had 6,012 points in the tournament as they had 4,037 during regulation games and 1,975 in Baker games.

In regulation play, Thomas More was led by first-year Jake Farley (Fort Thomas, Ky./Highlands), who was named to the All-Tournament Team as he had a 940 series with a 188 average.  Senior Jimmy Kelley (California, Ky./Bishop Brossart) had an 855 series with a 171 average, first-year Jacob Lawson (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton) bowled a 770 series with a 154 average, first-year Austin Crone (Florence, Ky./Simon Kenton) had a 769 series with a 154 average and first-year Jonathan Frommeyer (Hebron, Ky./Conner) had a 703 series with a 141 average.

In Baker games, the Saints had a 165 average in the three four-game blocks.

Thomas More returns to action on February 4 when it competes at the Norse Classic in Erlanger, Kentucky.
