Thomas More in Second Place at Stateline Shootout

(HARRISON, Ohio) – The Thomas More College men's golf team shot a first round 303 today (Saturday, October 7, 2017) and is in second place as the Stateline Shootout hosted by Mount St. Joseph University at Miami Whitewater Forest Golf Course in Harrison, Ohio.

Junior Matt Striegel (Cold Spring, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) leads the Saints with a 72.  Sophomore Kyle Alexander (Taylorsville, Ky./Spencer County) shot a 74, sophomore Zack Baynum (California, Ky./Campbell County) carded a 78, senior Carter Hibbard (Florence, Ky./Boone County) fired a 79 and first-year Nick Drake (Bowling Green, Ky./South Warren) had an 83.

Compete as individuals was sophomore Jacob Zai (Cold Spring, Ky./Bishop Brossart) and first-year Kyle Redden (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) with matching 89s, first-year Robby Case IV (Crestview Hills, Ky./Covington Latin) with a 93 and sophomore Blake Baioni (Cold Springs, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) with a 98.

Miami University – Hamilton leads the tournament with a 295.

The second round gets underway tomorrow at 11 a.m. at Miami Whitewater Forest Golf Course.
