(GREENVILLE, Pa.) – Thomas More College has been picked as the preseason favorite in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) men's indoor track & field preseason coaches' poll released on Friday.
Thomas More, led by eighth-year head coach Jeff Hill, claimed the top spot in the preseason coaches' poll after totaling six first-place votes and 94 combined points. Hill was voted the league's Coach of the Year last season after leading the Saints to the indoor title at Youngstown State University's Watson and Tressel Training Site (WATTS). They finished with 112.50 points at the 16-event championship.
Geneva College was picked second (89 points), Westminster finished third in the poll (76) and Washington & Jefferson College was fourth (66). Grove City College was fifth (62), Bethany College was sixth (59), Saint Vincent College was seventh (41), Waynesburg University was eighth (29), Chatham University was ninth (20) and Thiel College was 10th (14).
This year's league championships are scheduled for Thursday, February 22 at YSU's WATTS. Events will get underway at 2 p.m. The Saints begin their season on January 20 when they travel to Crawfordsville, Indiana to compete at the Robert H. Johnson Invitational hosted by Wabash College.
