Men's Cross Country Finishes Eighth at Cedarville Friendship Invitational

(CEDARVILLE, Ohio) - The Thomas More College men's cross country team placed eighth at the Cedarville University Friendship Invitational today (Saturday, September 15, 2012) in Cedarville, Ohio.

The Saints had 235 points and placed eighth of nine teams.  Junior Matt Wurtzler (Cincinnati, Ohio/Roger Bacon) led the Saints as he placed 31st out of 132 runners with a time of 26:52.17.

Thomas More had three more runners finish in the Top-100 as freshman Alex Henn (Erlanger, Ky./Lloyd Memorial) placed 59th with a time of 24:44.83, freshman Jacob Condon (Edgewood, Ky./Covington Catholic) finished 84th with a time of 29:20.51 and freshman Jimmy Booth (Cincinnati, Ohio/Colerain) placed 89th with a time of 29:35.29.

Rounding out the Saints' runners were sophomore Logan Pattison-Knutson (Bowling Green, Ky./Greenwood) in 105th place with a time of 30:26.09, freshman Aaron Fuller (Edgewood, Ky./Holy Cross) in 113th place with a time of 31:45.20, junior Joel Daley (California, Ky./Highlands) in 128th place with a time of 35:39.45 and freshman Jamie Leon (Jeffersonville, Ind./Louisville Trinity) in 130th place with a time of 37:54.87.

Thomas More is idle until September 29 when it competes at the Greater Louisville Classic in Louisville, Kentucky.
