  • Finke Earns Pair of NCAA Honors

    (INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) – Recent Thomas More graduated softball student-athlete Laura Finke (Fort Wright, Ky./Notre Dame Academy) has earned two honors from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).  She has earned the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship and was named the Thomas More nominee for the 2018 NCAA Woman of the Year award.

    (AUSTIN, Texas) – Thomas More College senior center fielder Laura Finke (Fort Wright, Ky./Notre Dame Academy) has been named to the 2018 Google Plus Division III Academic All-America Softball team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
  • Andrea Gahan Named NFCA All-American

    (OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.) - Thomas More College sophomore first baseman Andrea Gahan (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) has been named to the NCAA Division III All-America Team by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA).
  • Gahan, DeDreu, and Finke Named All-Region

    The NFCA is proud to announce the 360 players chosen for the 2018 NFCA Division III All-Region softball teams.  Thomas More College softball had three players named to the Central Region teams. There was a total of 29 schools to have three players selected to an All-Region team, Thomas More being one of them. Andrea Gahan was named First Team All-Region for an at-large player, Alix DeDreu was named Second Team All-Region as a utility player, and Laura Finke was named Third Team All-Region as an at-large player. 
  • Softball Defeats DePauw; Falls to Transylvania to End the Season

    Day two of the NCAA Tournament kicked off today as Thomas More College took on DePauw University in the first elimination game of the tournament. The Saints fell to host school Illinois Wesleyan University yesterday, 4-2, and DePauw fell to Transylvania in an extra-innings game 8-6. In the win or go home matchup, the Saints took down the Tigers 2-0 to advance to the 4:00 pm game against Transylvania. The Saints fell to the Pioneers 7-2, ending their season at 32-16 overall. 
  • Softball Falls in Game 1 of NCAA Tournament to IWU

    The first round of the NCAA Championship Tournament began today in Bloomington, Illinois. The Thomas More College Saints played the second game of the day against the host team Illinois Wesleyan University Titans. Thomas More fell to IWU 4-0, sending the Titans to the winner’s bracket and the Saints to the losers bracket with a chance to move back into the winner's bracket. With the loss, Thomas More fell to 31-15 on the season.

  • Softball Receives Seven PAC Honors

    The Presidents’ Athletic Conference released the PAC All-Conference team and award winners today, May 9. The Thomas More College softball team had five players named to the All-Conference first team, one named to the All-Conference second team, and one named the PAC Sportsmanship team. Andrea Gahan, Mary Beth Odom, Laura Finke, Amanda Lloyd, and Alix DeDreu were all named to first team. Dallis Knotts was named to second team and Danielle Piening was named to the sportsmanship team.
  • Softball Heads to Illinois Wesleyan For First Round of NCAA Tournament

    The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Softball Committee has announced the field for the Division III Championship and Thomas More College (31-14) will travel to Bloomington, Illinois for the first round hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University (31-10-1) on Friday, May 11, in the opening round of the regional.

    The top-seeded Thomas More College softball won its seventh Presidents’ Athletic (PAC) Championship as it defeated the second-seeded Westminster College, 2-1, today Sunday May 6 in the championship game of the PAC Championship Tournament at Thomas More Field in Crestview Hills, Ky.
  • Softball Forces Game 7 of PAC Tournament

    Day two of the President’s Athletic Conference Championship Tournament concluded today as the Thomas More College Saints went 2-0 defeating Saint Vincent 6-1 and Westminster 7-2 to force a seventh game in the tournament for the championship. With the wins, the Saints knocked Saint Vincent out of the run for the PAC title and are now 30-14 overall.
  • Softball Splits on Day 1 of PAC Tournament

    The President’s Athletic Conference Championship Tournament opened up today in Crestview Hills, Ky. with Thomas More hosting Westminster, Bethany, and Saint Vincent. With Thomas More as the top seed, the Saints took on Bethany in the first game, taking down the Bison 9-1 in five innings. With the win, the Saints moved on to play the winner of game one, which was Westminster. The Saints fell to Westminster 4-1, giving the Saints their first loss of the tournament. With the split games, the Saints move to 28-14 overall.
  • DeDreu Named Softball PAC Player of the Week

    Alix DeDreu was honored by the PAC today, being named to the PAC honor roll for Softball Player of the Week. The Thomas More College softball team is currently 27-13 overall and 17-1 in the PAC. 
  • Thomas More Sweeps Thiel to Clinch PAC Regular Season

    (CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The Thomas More College softball team clinched the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) regular season today (Saturday, April 28, 2018) as it swept Thiel College in a PAC doubleheader on Senior Day at Thomas More Field in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.  The Saints won the first game, 3-2, and the nightcap 10-2 in five innings.

    The Thomas More College softball team hosted Anderson University for a double header today, Sunday April 22. The Saints improved their win streak to 12 as they won the first game 6-0 and the second game 13-3 in five innings. Thomas More improved its record to 24-12 overall with the two wins
  • Softball Sweeps Grove City in PAC Double Header

    The Thomas More College softball team hosted Grove City College for a PAC double header today, April 21. The Saints swept the wolverines, winning the first game in five innings, 8-0, and the second game with a late comeback to win 4-1. With the wins, the Saints are now 22-12 overall and 14-0 in the PAC.

    The Thomas More College softball team traveled to Beaver Falls, Pa. today to take on PAC competitor Geneva College in a softball doubleheader. The Saints swept the Golden Tornadoes 9-0 in five innings in game one and 6-2 in game two. With the wins, the Saints improve to 18-12 overall and 10-0 in the PAC.

    The Thomas More College softball team traveled to Waynesburg, Pa. tonight to take on the Yellow Jackets in a PAC doubleheader match-up. The Saints won both games, 9-2 in the first game and 15-0 in five innings in the second game. With the wins, the Saints are now 18-12 overall and 10-0 in the PAC.
