Women's Golf Finishes Third at UPIKE Spring Invite

(PRESTONSBURG, Ky.) – The Thomas More College women's golf team finished third today (Sunday, April 15, 2018) with a 691 (349-342) at the University of Pikeville Spring Invitational at Stone Crest Golf Club in Prestonsburg, Kentucky.

Two Saints finished in the Top-10 as junior Christie Modafari (Mason, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) was fifth wit ha 166 (83-83) and senior Amber Greene (Catlettsburg, Ky./Fairview) was sixth wit ha 167 (88-79).

Junior Sara Jackie (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart Academy) finished 11th with a 173 (86-87), sophomore Cora Bradford (Union, Ky./Ryle) tied for 16th wit ha 185 (92-93) and senior Bethany DeAtley (Muses Mills, Ky./Fleming County) finished 24th with a 210 (100-110).

Pikeville won the team championship with a 647 (325-322) and the Bears' Boo Newsome was individual medalist wit ha 151 (75-76).

The Saints return to the links on April 22 when they compete in a tri-match with Saint Vincent College and Washington & Jefferson College on the Palmer Golf Course at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling, West Virginia.
