Saints Fall to Washington & Jefferson

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The Thomas More College women's lacrosse team fell, 14-3, to Washington & Jefferson College today (Saturday, April 15, 2017) in an Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) match at BB&T Field in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.

With the loss, the Saints fall to 2-7 overall and 1-4 in the ORLC.  With the win, the Presidents improve to 5-5 overall and 4-1 in the ORLC.

Senior Tori Liles (Tollesboro, Ky./Lewis County) scored two goals as she scored at 27:58 in the first half and 9:00 in the second half.  Sophomore Jeni Hall (Lebanon, Ky./Marion County) scored the Saints' third goal of the match at 1:13 in the second half.

Sophomore Gillian Casey (Lexington, Ky./Lexington Catholic) played all 60 minutes in goal and recorded six saves.

Senior Erika LaRosa (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) led the team in draw controls, while Liles led the team in shots with five and sophomore Jalee Connor (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) and senior Megan Klever (Sylvania, Ohio/Northview) led the team in ground balls with three each.

Thomas More returns to action on Monday (April 17) when it hosts Waynesburg University at 5 p.m. at BB&T Field.
