(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The Thomas More College lacrosse team hosted Thiel College for the Saints' second to last home game. The Saints fell to the Tomcats 15-1, dropping their record to 1-6 overall and in the conference. With the win, the Tomcats improved to 4-7 overall and 4-4 in the conference.
Thiel got out to an early scoring start, scoring in the first three minutes of the game. The Tomcats would go on to score nine more in the first half, going into halftime with a 10-0 lead. Coming out of halftime, Thiel found the net within the first minute. Karly Lehmkul got the Saints on the board with 22:59 left in the game. Thiel went on to score two more before time ran out, going home with a 15-1 victory.
Jalee Connor recorded two shots on goal and one ground ball with four draw controls. Lehmkul recorded one goal off three shots and two shots on goal. She also recorded one ground ball and one draw control. Erin Carrus recorded three ground balls, two draw controls, and one shot and shot on goal. Aleyna Heyman was in the goal for all 60 minutes recording five saves off 20 shots on goal.
The Saints are back in action as they travel to Mount St. Joseph to take on the Lions on April 18. The game will start at 7:00 pm.
