Felix and Robinson Named First Team All-Americans

(KANSAS CITY, Mo.) – Thomas More College senior midfielders Laura Felix (Burlington, Ky./St. Henry) and Taylor Robinson (Alexandria, Ky./Campbell County) were named All-Americans by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) on Thursday.

Felix and Robinson both earned First Team All-American honors.  This is the fifth-straight season the Saints have had at least one All-American as Abby Gindling '13 was second team in 2012, Olivia Huber '16 was a third team selection 2013 and second team selection in 2014 , Abby Osborne '16 was a first team selection in 2014 and Felix was a second team selection in 2015.

Felix, the 2016 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Player of the Year, was recently named to the NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region First Team for the third-straight year. A four-time All-PAC selection and two-time first team pick, Felix ranked second on the team in assists (5) and fourth in points (17) and goals scored (6). She finished the nine-match PAC regular season with four goals and a pair of assists.

A terrific two-way midfielder who has contributed at both ends of the field throughout her career, Felix has totaled 17 goals, 10 assists and 44 points in 89 matches for Thomas More. She was named to the 2016 Division III Academic All-America Women's Soccer First Team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), on November 18. She was recognized as a NSCAA Division III All-America Second Team selection and NSCAA Division III First Team Scholar All-America in 2015.

Robinson, a two-time NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region selection, finished the year with 14 points on six goals and a pair of assists. A three-time All-PAC selection and two-time first team pick, she totaled 14 goals, seven assists and 35 points in 93 career matches for the Saints.

Thomas More finished the season with a 22-1-1 mark and peaked at a number three on the NSCAA's Division III Top 25. The Saints advanced to their seventh Division III Championship, recently making the program's sixth-consecutive appearance. The program has moved on to at least the third round in each of the last four Division III Championships. Winners of six-straight PAC Championship Tournament titles, Thomas More was selected as a first and second round host for this year's Division III Championship.
