Three Named NSCAA Scholar All-East Region

(KANSAS CITY, Mo.)  The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) announced the 2016 NSCAA NCAA Division III Women's Scholar All-East Region Team awards on Thursday, December 8th. The Thomas More College Saints led the way with one First Team Scholar All-East Region selection and two Second Team Scholar All-East Region selections. Senior Laura Felix (Burlington, Ky./St. Henry), was selected to the first team and the senior duo of Megan Barton (Florence, Ky./Villa Madonna) and Erika LaRosa (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) were honored with second team selections.

The Thomas More Saints finished the 2016 season with their sixth straight PAC Championship, a 22-1-1 mark and peaked at a No. 3 national ranking, which included a return to the sweet 16 or better for the fourth straight year. The Saints are one of only three teams out of 433 NCAA D3 to achieve this level of national tournament success in four consecutive years. The five are also part of a senior class for the Saints has had a superlative career with an 83-5-5 record and a .919 winning percentage. The senior class has only experienced one loss on their home field in their careers.
