Six Women's Soccer Players Named to All-PAC

(GREENVILLE, Pa.) - Thomas More College women's soccer team had a number of players receive All-PAC Honors today, November 9, 2017. First-year forward Ashley Maples (Springboro, Ohio / Archbishop Alter), senior forward Abby Stadtmiller (Alexandria, Ky. / Bishop Brossart), and senior center Cori Ziegler (California, Ky. / Bishop Brossart) all received All-PAC First Team. Sophomore GK Maddy Kim (California, Ky. / Notre Dame Academy) and sophomore center Megan Sheridan (Cincinnati, Ohio / Oak Hills) both received All-PAC Honorable Mention. Senior center Kaitlyn Armentrout (Cincinnati, Ohio / Oak Hills) received PAC-Sportsmanship Team honors.

All-PAC First Team member, Maples, has played in 20 matches, starting 17 of them. She has recorded 22 points along with 10 assists and 98 shots. Stadtmiller has played in and started 20 matches this season. She has recorded 12 points on 42 shots, along with 2 assists this season. Ziegler has recorded three points off 23 shots and one assist. She has played in and started 17 matches.

All-PAC Honorable Mention, Kim, has started and played in nine matches this season posting an unbeaten 9-0 record as goal keeper. She has recorded 43 saves with a .915 save percentage. She also has posted five shut-outs this season. Sheridan has played in 20 matches this season, starting 18 of them. She has recorded two points off of 10 shots as a defender. She also helped lead the Saints' defense to 11 shut-outs this season.

PAC-Sportsmanship Team honoree, Armentrout, has played in 19 matches, starting seven of them. She has recorded one point off of four shots and one assist.

Thomas More (15-4-1) earned the PAC's automatic qualifying bid to the Division III Championship with its win over Grove City last Friday and will face Wittenberg University (8-6-3) Saturday night in the opening round of the Division III Championship. The first round match will be hosted by sixth-ranked and defending Division III champion Washington University in St. Louis and played at Francis Field. The match is scheduled to get underway at 9 p.m. (EST).
