Stadtmiller and Ziegler Honored by the United Soccer Coaches Association

(KANSAS CITY, Mo.) – Senior forward Abby Stadtmiller (Alexandria, Ky. / Bishop Brossart) and senior center Cori Ziegler (California, Ky. / Bishop Brossart) were honored by the United Soccer Coaches Association receiving First-Team and Second-Team 2017 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Women's All-Great Lakes Region.

Stadtmiller, who received First-Team honors, started and played in 21 games this season. She recorded 12 points, 10 of which were against PAC opponents. She scored five goals, two of which were game winning goals, and had two assists. Stadtmiller helped lead her team to a PAC Championship this season and to the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

Ziegler, who received Second-Team honors, played and started 18 games this season. She put up 24 shots, scoring one goal and had one assist. Ziegler also helped lead her team to the PAC Championship and to the first round of the NCAA Tournament where they faced Wittenberg.

The Saints finished the season with their eighth straight PAC Championship and the seventh consecutive NCAA appearance, and the first under Head Coach Kim McGowan, with a 15-5-1 overall and 8-1 in the PAC. The two seniors are a part of a senior class that has a 79-9-4 record over the past four years, 34-1-1 in the PAC. The senior class has a .876-win percentage overall and a .958-win percentage in the PAC the last four years.
