(UPLAND, Ind.) – The Thomas More College women's track & field competed on Saturday (February 11, 2017) at the unscored Trojan Invitational hosted by Taylor University inside the Kelser Fieldhouse in Upland, Indiana.
The Saints had nine Top-10 performances. Junior Christina Cook (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton) earned three Top-5 finishes. She remained unbeaten in the 400-meter dash as she won the event in 59.12-seconds, was fourth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.00-seconds and was fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.46-seconds.
Thomas More had two Top-10 finishes in the triple jump as senior Megan Barton (Florence, Ky./Villa Madonna) was eighth with a mark of 9.92-meters and junior Dakota Sicurella (Bethel, Ohio/Bethel-Tate) was 10th with a mark of 9.25. In the 1,000-meter run, first-year Dominique Webber (Fort Mitchell, Ky./Dixie Heights) was seventh with a time of 3:48.23 and first-year Jessica Riley (Oldham County, Ky./South Oldham) was ninth with a time of 4:00.95.
Junior Kelsey Etherton (Fort Thomas, Ky./Highlands) was eighth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:30.27 and senior Allyson Clements (Cincinnati, Ohio/Reading) was ninth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 10.53-seconds.
The Saints return to action on February 18 when they compete at the DePauw University Tiger Classic in Greencastle, Indiana.
